LONDON (AFP) - The euro on Thursday slid below 1.39 dollars for the first time in a year on heightened concerns about the weak European economy, dealers said.
The dollar also benefited from weaker oil prices and a rebound for US financial shares, they added.
The euro dropped to 1.3897 dollars in early London trading, the lowest level since September 18, 2007.
