FTSE 100 slips 0.19% at open (AFP)

LONDON (AFP) - London shares slipped 0.19 pecent to 4,385.79 points at the start of trading on Wednesday on uncertainty over the world economy despite massive government efforts to restore confidence in the financial system.
The FTSE 100 index of leading shares had closed up 3.23 percent on Tuesday.
