02.11.2006 08:05 Press Releases
“Enthusiasts of fantasy football should utilize this popular social forum for networking, and as a tool to further their careers,” said Michael Henby, author of a new book titled, "Fantasy Kick — Leverage the Networking Opportunities of Fantasy Football to Give Your Career the Kick it Needs."
“Fantasy Kick” outlines how participants can utilize this increasingly popular pastime to mix business with pleasure by creating networking opportunities for career advancement.
“The holidays are here,” said Henby. “‘Fantasy Kick’ is a great holiday gift for the fantasy football player who is looking to enhance both their career and their game.”
“Fantasy Kick” is now available at major online retailers, Amazon.com , BN.com and Buy.com.
In fantasy football, participants (called “owners”) draft or acquire via auction a team of real-life NFL (or college, depending on the league) players, and then score points based on those players' statistical performance on the field.
“Participants typically invest five months studying player stats and reading about the players on their fantasy team, their opponents’ teams as well as the available free agents in their league,” said Henby.
Henby’s 108-page book addresses the game’s popularity and shows how it influences relationships around the office. ‘Fantasy Kick’ also summarizes how the fantasy sport can spur conversations, and discusses what actions and behavior are inappropriate while playing the game.
