Sonic Past Music Releases Newly Unearthed Treasures from West Coast Rock Favorites

01.11.2006 13:15 Press Releases

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 1, 2006 -— Get out your discographies and check your All Music Guide; four new albums by some of rock's favorite, celebrated musicians and artists will be available through Sonic Past Music (www.sonicpastmusic.com) this week.

These never-before-released albums, The Eagle, The Dove & The Gold by Randy Meisner, Billy Swan and Alan Rich, Sweet Inspiration by Delaney Bramlett, Clover's Sound City Sessions (with John McFee, Huey Lewis, Jeff Porcaro, et al) and Catchy by the Millennium's Sandy Salisbury will be available directly through Sonic Past Music, Amazon and CDBaby online outlets.

These four new releases join Sonic Past catalog which includes other titles by Curt Boettcher, Dick Campbell, Keith Colley, The Dependables, The Drivin' Dynamics, Bruce Foster, Joey Stec, Lee Mallory, Randy Meisner, Sandy Salisbury, The Poor, Shark Frenzy (Richie Sambora), Gary Usher, and Twin Engine.

The label was formed as an outlet for these popular and recognizable artists to put out albums that were previously unreleased for any number of reasons. Sonic Past founder, Joey Stec explains, "These artists are my friends, colleagues and family. Collectively we've spent decades together in the studio amassing hundreds of albums-worth of masters. In today's fractured music industry we don't have to be 19 and mainstream to put out our albums, it's okay to cater to a niche market. These titles are by artists that made their mark primarily on the West Coast in the '70s and '80s and we have additional titles by Chris Hillman, Les Emerson and J.P. Morgan in the works."

All Sonic Past releases for the U.S. have been digitally re-mastered and include music and art not found elsewhere. Prior Japanese and European Sonic Past releases of some of these albums are available. Further information is available at www.sonicpastmusic.com.
