Web 2.0 and Social Networking Features Help Online Dieting Site Grow in Popularity
01.11.2006 13:25 Press Releases
Social networking upgrades include giving users the ability to use MySpace friendly layouts and themes found across the web to decorate and customize their my-calorie-counter blogs. Members can add before and after photos, videos and music and share their blogs with non-members, friends and family. "Our members gain so much support from each other by having the ability to share their food journals as part of their blogs. It gives new meaning to diet and exercise accountability," says Mike Moorehead, founder of the site.
The new online fitness video tips are presented by one of the site's administrators who is also an AFAA certified fitness instructor. Each video is 3-5 minutes in length and includes demonstrations for 2 different exercises to target certain areas of the body. The members are then encouraged to complete a certain number of repetitions after they learn the correct form from the video. The online fitness video tips will be added on a regular basis and previous videos will be archived on the site.
